ANOTHER minor? WTF? Who let the SOB out?
Kershaw County Sheriff's Office investigators arrested a man again for criminal sexual conduct with a minor.
The report said on September 26, 2011 Ronald Linwood Christmas Jr. was arrested by Kershaw County Sheriff's Office investigators and charged with criminal sexual conduct with a minor under 11 and criminal sexual conduct (lewd act) on another minor under 16.
Christmas was taken to jail and was released some time later after posting a bond.
According to investigators, on Thursday, Christmas was arrested again by KCSO investigators and charged with criminal sexual conduct with a minor under 11 (1st degree) following allegations that he was engaged in inappropriate behavior with a 7-8 year old girl back in 2005-2007.
Deputies say in early May 2013 an investigator was notified by the parents of a 15-year-old girl who told them that she had been sexually molested by Christmas between 2005 and 2007.
According to the victim, she had been staying with her friend, Christmas' stepdaughter, when the incidents occurred and had been hesitant to tell anyone until May 2013.
After interviewing the victim, investigators obtained an arrest warrant for Christmas.
Christmas, accompanied by his attorney, turned himself in at the Kershaw County Sheriff's Office.
"Although Christmas is probably not a flight risk, I would say that he is a danger at least to the children in our community. He needs to be denied bond. Since research has shown that child molesters are not rehabilitated there is a very strong likelihood that Christmas will offend again. He should be denied that opportunity by being forced to remain behind bars until trial," said Kershaw County Sheriff Jim Matthews.
Christmas is currently being detained at the Kershaw County Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing on this most recent charge.
