GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. —

A Gwinnett County high school has been named one of the top three in the nation.

U.S. News and World Report gave Gwinnett School of Mathematics, Science and Technology in Lawrenceville that high ranking.

Gwinnett, DeKalb and Cobb counties are also in some of the top 10 schools in the state.

U.S. News based its rankings on student performance state proficiency tests and preparedness for college.
